PAPER  PRESENTATION:

Paper presentation is all about how you put your topic or present your topic in front of the audience. They see the way you present your topic, the way you put your points,  your presentation style, your language and how promptly and effectively you answer their questions 

RULES:

• Maximum of two authors
• Submission of abstract (in a word document) before the due date.( 13th March 2020 )
• Based on the peering review of the abstract, 11 papers will be selected for presenting the paper.
• The selected participants should submit a hard copy of the paper with abstract in the beginning in A4 sheets not exceeding ten pages(including references, tables and figures)
• The presentation should last a maximum of 8 minutes. There will be a query and answer session following it.
• The oral presentation should be in the form of Microsoft power point slides   which contains the brief of your paper, not to exceed 21.
• The recommended fonts are: Title fonts: Times New Roman, 14 font size, Bold and underlined, left alignment; Sub Title fonts: Times New Roman, 12 font size, Bold and Justified alignment.

• Advances in fabric care and laundering
• Development in health care and medical textiles
• Advances in home textiles
• Application of textile composites in engineering 
• Protective textiles against natural calamities 
• Right first time approach

POSTER  PRESENTATION:

To stand out your poster should convey your key findings and be visually appealing to grab the attention of all the attendees.

RULES

• Maximum two participants in a team.
• College ID card and receipt is compulsory on the day of event.
• Hard copy of submitted abstract/paper on the day of the event is compulsory.
• Abstract should be in one page it should be of maximum 300 words.
• Each team will get 03 minutes for presentation and 02 minutes for question and answer.
• The decision of judges will be final and no argument or appeal will be entertained.
• Poster size should be in 2*3 feet.
• The poster should be printed on flex or banner and it should be landscape. 
• The poster should not have name of college and team on the poster.

• Technology of Multiaxial Fabric: Manufacturing and Applications.
• Advanced Biotechnology Innovations for Textiles.
• Smart Textiles for Technical Application.
• Artificial Neural Network in Textile.
• 3D Printing for Advance Textile Materials.
• Jacquard Designing for Knitted Products.
• Role of Advanced CAD/CAM in Textiles.

TECHNICAL QUIZ:

Quiz is  a technical event completely based on textile technology and engineering.

RULES

• There must be team of two members.
• This event is only for  textile students.

Round 1:

MCQ Test-sheet will be provided to the participants.15 minutes will be given for 30 questions and each question carries 1 mark (no negative marking).Sheets will be evaluated and eligible team will go for next round.

Round 2:

Rapid fire round

There will be 5 questions for each team .Time limit to answer each question=10seconds And each question carries 2 marks.

Round 3:

Survival of the fittest round:

5 topics will be provided and each team will get 1 topic based on lottery system and will have 30 seconds to prepare and 90 seconds to speak on the same topic, only one of the group member from each team can speak on the topic.

GARMENT  DISPLAY:

In this event participants will be provide with the mannequin and they will have to present their garments and drape the mannequin with the fabric provided by organisers.

RULES

• A team can have 2 members.
• Only two garments should be displayed by a team
• Display based on any theme
• No live models allowed
• Flat sketch ,Mood board, inspiration board ,cost sheet of garments are required.
• Garments should be wearable.
• Vastra team have arranged display as well as draping.
• Fabric for Draping will be provided by organisers
• Time limit for every team would be 2hrs(Including both setup and performance.
• Abstract of portfolios should be submitted before 13 march 2020(Including garment photograph ,flat sketch and cost sheet etc ).
• Participants must bring their college I’d cards on the day of event.
• The decision of judges will be final.
